There are two varieties of papaia: Solo and Messicana. Both have got a pear shape with a green-yellow skin that becomes yellow-orange when it ripens. The pulp is juicy, the flavour is similar to the one of peach and melon. Little black seeds full the central part. The pulp colour goes from dark orange to peach-colour, but some varieties have got a red tonality.
Handle it with attention to avoid damages.
