aspect and taste

This fruit is gourd/pear-shaped, with a long, curving stalk. The rough epicarp has a russeted skin on a yellow-bronze background and many visible lenticels. The pulp is white-yellow in colour, soft, sugary, aromatic and sometimes grainy.

maintenance

Unripe fruit: the pears must be firm and without cuts or bruises on the skin. Ripe fruit: the pears must be slightly firm, but soft to gentle pressure at the lower part. It can be stored for a short period.

Features

From a nutritional point of view it contains a good quantity of simple sugars (fructose of rapid assimilation), pectin, tannin, mineral salts, malic and citric acid, in addition to phenol compounds with antioxidant action.
