origin

It's an old French breed and it's very diffused in Italy where it has obtained the certification of protected origin. It is barely cultivated in Catalonia, Chile and Argentina.

It's a fruit of big size (about 200 gr.), it has got the unmistakable long shape, thin and green-yellow skin, firm, juicy, sugary and aromatic pulp.
It is appreciated by a great number of consumers for its taste, fragrance and juice.

maintenance

Handle the pears with attention to avoid any damage and conserve them at 0-2° C. Do not put the package on the ground.

Features

From a nutritional point of view, it contains a good quantity of simple sugars (fructose of rapid assimilation), pectin, tannin, mineral salts, malic and citric acid, in addition to phenol compounds with antioxidant action.
The pear is very easily digestible, it has got a depurative, refreshing and laxative function and it is very suitable in the diet of young and old people.
